Vine & Branch Fellowship – Baby Dedication
Sunday, February 22, 2026 | Both Services
Acknowledging God’s Gift
Children are not accidents or accessories to our lives—they are entrusted gifts from the Lord. “Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.” (Psalm 127:3)
On Sunday, February 22, during both services, we will hold a Baby Dedication—a sacred moment where parents publicly acknowledge that their child belongs first and foremost to God.
What Baby Dedication Is
A Public Commitment
Parents stand before God and His people to declare their intention to raise their child according to the Word of God—seeking His wisdom, strength, and grace in the everyday faithfulness of parenting.
“Train up a child in the way he should go…” (Proverbs 22:6)
Seeking God’s Blessing
Parents entrust their child to the Lord, asking Him to guide, protect, and shape their life according to His purposes.
“The LORD bless you and keep you…” (Numbers 6:24–26)
A Church Family Moment
This is not a private event—it is a family gathering. The church commits to pray for, encourage, and walk alongside these families as they disciple their children in the fear of the Lord.
“As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:15)
What Baby Dedication Is Not
Child dedication is not a sacrament and not a guarantee of salvation. Salvation is a personal response to Jesus Christ that each child will one day make for themselves.
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart…” (Romans 10:9)
Biblical Foundation
Scripture shows a long-standing pattern of parents dedicating their children to the Lord:
Hannah dedicating Samuel to God’s service (1 Samuel 1:27–28)
Mary and Joseph presenting Jesus at the Temple (Luke 2:22–35)
If you are a parent who desires to publicly dedicate your child and your home to the Lord, we invite you to participate in this meaningful time of prayer, commitment, and worship.
Let us raise the next generation to know the Lord—not by chance, but by conviction.
